What is Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a serious neurodevelopmental disorders. It is a lifelong problem that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves.
People that suffer from Schizophrenia may experience impaired cognitive ability. As a result of which they may hear voices or see things that are not there in realty. Others include experiencing delusions, hallucinations, dis-organized speech or behavior. Some believe that others are reading their minds and controlling their thoughts. Earlier, Schizophrenia used to be considered the same as the multiple personality disorder also known as split personality. This happened because some of the signs of Schizophrenia may seem similar on the surface but people suffering from the multiple personality disorder often have two or more identities that are present and these personalities take control of them.

This is when a person shows abnormal body movements. People who suffer from movement disorders remain still without moving or talking for long periods of time. In some cases, they repeat same motions over and over again. Search repetitive movements are called as stereotypies.
Negative symptoms
Negative symptoms makes it difficult for the patient to function normally in the society. They may be socially withdrawn or may experience difficulty in showing emotions. Some of the other indicators include showing no expression on their faces. As an example they may never smile or frown. Some of them are observed to talk in a dull voice.
